About lifestyle initiative ministry

Who We Are

Lifestyle Initiatives Ministry is a not-for-profit missions organization dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel to those who have yet to hear it and helping plant churches where none currently exists.

We have the Acts 10:38 mandate to go about doing good (charity) and healing those who are oppressed of the devil (mission). We intend to co-labour in Ministry with focus that include church planting, leadership training, compassion and short-term mission teams.

Compassion is central to the flourishing of healthy church leaders and church plants. In 2015, 72% of pastors said they felt “very satisfied” with their job as pastors. In late 2022, just 52% of pastors were “very satisfied with their jobs.” That’s an alarming 20% drop for six years—a trend no ministry leader can ignore. Pastoring a church is emotionally, spiritually, and physically exhausting.

This isn’t a minor thing. It’s a crisis, that must be addressed. According to new Barna research, the overall well-being of pastors has now hit an all-time low. Consider the following data on pastors: Spiritual well-being dropped from 37% to 14%. Physical well-being fell from 24% to 9%. Mental and emotional health went from 39% to 11%. The overall quality of life dipped from 42% to 18%. The level of ‘true friends’ dropped in half from 34% to 17%.

Our Mission

The mission of Lifestyle Initiatives Ministry is to spread the Gospel, empower leaders, and support the establishment, growth, and expansion of churches worldwide. We are committed to being catalysts and advocates for native ministry and churches, rather than becoming entrenched in our own presence. Our role involves mobilizing workers and resources to address the most crucial needs on the mission field.

Vision

We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matt. 28:19,20a). The Great Commission is the most important mission in the world, as it determines the eternal fate of every person. Due to man’s sinful nature, every individual is separated from God and faces His righteous judgment. Only through our Savior, Jesus Christ, can anyone receive forgiveness of sins and be accepted by God. Reconciliation with God is the greatest need for humanity.

The scope of the Church’s mission is immense. Billions of people still need to hear the Gospel. There are thousands of people groups without any churches. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). However, with God, all things are possible, and He will fulfill His Great Commission through His people. With His power and guidance, there are sufficient laborers and resources to accomplish His plan as His people become motivated and mobilized to respond. God aims to gather people for Himself from every tribe, language, people, and nation (Revelation 7:9). The Church is His instrument to carry out His global plan. Our role is to preach the Gospel, pray, worship, and demonstrate His love. As we do so, God will establish local churches—Christian communities that bring the Gospel to every corner of the world.
